2) Why do you think Cormac McCarthy choose not to give the characters names in this novel?

  1. Maybe this was based on a true story, or the author didnt think that it was necessary to add names.

  2. i think the author didnt give names because, it makes you to read until the end because you might think the names will be somewhere in the ending.

  3. Maybe to give the story a different affect. Or he couldnt think of any names that really fit the charachters discription.

  7. Probably because the most important thing in the book is the relationship between the father and son and also its the end of the world and they are trying to find safety and civilization their names are not very important.
